Bateman Junior Cricket Club is a family friendly club committed to promoting cricket for boys and girls of all abilities from ages 5-18.
We are a member of the South West Metro Junior Cricket Council http://southwestmjcc.wa.cricket.com.au/ and play in the South West Metro Junior Cricket Association.
Other clubs in our association are Applecross JCC, Bicton JCC, Cockburn JCC, East Fremantle JCC, Hilton Park JCC, Jandakot Lakes JCC, Kardinya JCC, Leeming Spartans JCC and Phoenix Beeliar JCC.
Our club is based at Karoonda Reserve, Booragoon with a second ground at Bill Ellson Reserve in Bateman.
Karoonda Oval has 2 hard wickets and 4 nets that are used for training during the week and Bill Ellson has 1 hard wicket and 2 nets.
We are a family friendly inclusive club offering fair, fun and safe cricketing programs for boys and girls of all abilities from ages 5-17.
Our membership base has experienced strong growth in recent years and we expect this to continue in the years ahead as we offer great cricket experiences for all our junior players. We are proud of having over 220 junior members and 12 Life Members of the club.
Last season we had 8 high performing 8 boys sides and 6 successful girls sides playing for Bateman. In addition, we provide one of the largest Blasters Programs https://play.cricket.com.au/cricket-blast in the area.
We are incredibly proud that Bateman Junior Cricket Club has been recognised as a leaders in Female Cricket and we have the larges number of girls in the association.
In addition to our high performance girls and boys teams we have a Youth Integrated Cricket team, for boys and girls with disabilities aged 11-17.
The club was recognised for our Integrated program in season 2020-2021 receiving the WA Community Cricket Inclusion and Diversity Award and the Cricket Australia Community Cricket Inclusion and Diversity Award.
